Situated in the heart of medieval Shrewsbury, the Prince Rupert is firmly established as the town's finest hotel.The former home of Prince Rupert, the grandson of King James I.The Prince Rupert combines old-world charm with modern facilities and is an oasis of tranquillity in the centre of town.
Surrounded by cobblestone streets and Tudor buildings, the Prince Rupert Hotel is perfectly located to explore all the town's main attractions which are just a few minutes walk away.
The hotel has 70 tastefully furbished en-suite bedrooms including 12th century mansion house suites, four-poster canopied beds, 15th century Tudor Suites and deluxe rooms. All have television, hairdryer and welcome trays. The Mansion House is Shrewsbury's oldest secular building dating back to 1150 and provides the hotel with five individually appointed suites each named after Prince Rupert's family.
Under the guidance of English Heritage, the Mansion House and hotel have been restored and original features abound, including a magnificent Jacobean staircase and Shrewsbury's only stone vaulted cellar. The hotel also has a private health and beauty spa which includes weights room, jacuzzi, steam shower, beauty salon and full size snooker table.
The Prince Rupert makes a real feature of dining with three restaurants to choose from. The elegant Royalist offers a superb a la carte menu, Chambers provides traditional English food and La Trattoria is authentically Italian. There are also private meeting and banqueting suites for up to 140 guests. Valet parking is provided to our private car park.

Directions
(From M54, M6, A5, A49) Enter Shrewsbury and head for town centre. Proceed over English Bridge and bear right up Wyle Cop. Travel to the top of the hill, proceed for a further 50 metres and turn right by the red post box into Fish Street. The hotel is situated 150 metres ahead.
